Follow-Up Appointments with your urologist and radiation oncologist for follow-up visits will need to be made according to their recommendations. This information will be included on your post implant guidelines. After your implant, a CT scan appointment will need to be scheduled according to your doctor's recommendation. This can be done at our facility. The CT scan is needed to determine if the prostate gland is receiving the correct amount of radiation prescribed. If there are any problems, the radiation oncologist will contact you. It has been our experience that the CT scans are rarely, if ever, abnormal. A PSA test needs to be drawn according to the following schedule: First 18 months- every three (3) months. 18-30 months- every six (6) months. Annually thereafter.
